I went to Hamakou in Noge. Noge is one of my favorite spots in Yokohama, because there are many pubs, so I have been to Noge many times.
This time, I chose pub Hamakou, because the reviews are good on ”Tabelogu.” Tabelogu is very famous gourmet review site in Japan.
First, I ate an appetizer. I thought it was namul and it was good. We call this kind of appetizer ”otoshi.” I think a pub where the appetizer is delicious must be a good pub.
Next, I ate sashimi of neck of the horse (¥1,200). When this dish came out, it was a little frozen. It gradually softened when I left it unattended to normal temperature. When I put on soy sauce and wasabi and ate it, it was very delicious.
Third, I ate this restaurant's noted product, ”baka-nabe,” it was the meat of horse and deer. In Japan, when we write horse and deer in kanji, it is ”馬” and ”鹿.” When you read these two kanjis, you say ”baka” (馬鹿). So this dish is called ”baka-nabe.” It was like sukiyaki. The meat of the deer was softer than the meat of the horse.
Finally, I ate udon with the soup which remained from the baka-nabe. The soup was good. Everything was good to the last dish.
